Our planing a product and service for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

What: a guide robot

Tokyo Olympics will be held in 2020. At that time, of course man not only the athletes of each country, but a lot of tourists will visit Tokyo. Even now, the number of foreigners is increasing every year. Whenever we visit the sightseeing spot of Tokyo, there are many tourists. I think the environment of Tokyo for tourists is very good. For example, almost all signs in the station are also written in English and Chinese so that tourists will not to be confused which train should ride. But, if the number of foreigner increases substantially, maybe the situation would change. Not only English speakers but many countries’ people will come to Tokyo. Then, the Tokyo government has to deal with a lot of languages. But of course it is impossible to make signs written in all languages at the same time. Then we thought, if there are a guide robot which can speak many languages, it will be very useful for tourists. Our ideal image of this robot is just a kind of isolated robot, like “pepper”. It can communicate with foreigners in many different languages and also can give them a guide, for example how to get to their destination from where they are or tell them the history of the sightseeing spot.

Where

Firstly, we should set this robot in the stations, because the trail way of Tokyo is so confusing for tourists. Secondly, we can put it in the main sightseeing spot such as Asakusa. Then tourists can enjoy not only the atmosphere but the history of Asakusa.

When  

During the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics and after the Olympics.

 

Why  

We have third reasons.

First, robots are more useful than human guides. We think that foreign people who come to Tokyo first time may get lost their way, because Tokyo is very complex. If we employ guide who can speak other language, the cost would become high. However, if we use the guide robots the cost may be lower than those people. Robots can understand many kind of languages. Moreover differ from human guide, robot guides can use after the Olympics,   so we think that robots are more useful than human guides.   

Second, it will be a good opportunity to show Japanese robot technology for foreign people. In Japan a lot of robots are developed, but there are few opportunity to advertise those robots. Therefore we think Tokyo Olympics will become not only international contest but also the exhibition of Japanese technology.

 Third, robots can make Tokyo Olympics unique. We feel that recent Olympic game is not different. If robots are used at Tokyo Olympics, it would become very impressive and unique, so everyone can remember the event.   

How

 First, get a lot of money from t government. In Japan government said that budget for the robot industry will increase. Therefore we will be able to get a lot of money, and use for the cost of making robots.

 Second, in order to understand many kind of languages, we import voice recognizer which is similar to smartphone into robots.

My thought about Ariana Miyamoto who won miss universe Japan in 2015.

At first, I did not know about Ariana Miyamoto. Because Japanese mass media did not report her. So I investigated about her and I found that she is a winner of miss universe Japan in 2015. Through investigation about her, I have some opinion about her. So in this blog post I would like to write my opinion about her.


I have three opinions.


First, I think that Ariana Miyamoto is not fit for miss universe Japan, because she is not pure Japanese person. Of course I do not want to discriminate against not pure Japanese people in Japan. However people who are chosen miss universe is representation of their country, so I think that they should represent their country’s features. Some people says that it is not good to complain about her and Japan should be more flexible about race, so distinguish pure Japanese from other people is a silly and Japan should become international. I think the idea of discrimination is bad, but I also think this Ariana’s case is different from the problem of discrimination. I think that miss universe should be a place which collect each country’s culture, so I feel Ariana is not fit the miss universe Japan.


Second, I think that Miyamoto’s opinion about discrimination in Japan is not correct. She says that there are a lot of discrimination about races in Japan. She also says that she was teased by her classmates, because she is half Japanese. Her opinion sounds like all Japanese people do discrimination to me. I have a friend who is half Japanese but he is not teased, because he is a good person. From my example, I think that the race is not the reason for teasing rather it depends on their action and not all Japanese people do discrimination. Therefore I think that Ariana Miyamoto’s opinion necessarily true.


Third, Japanese people should not demand being perfect for representative like Ariana Miyamoto. I feel that Japanese people often tend to demand being perfect for their representative. Of course it is natural this action, but I think Japanese people overreact to scandal. For example, when I researched about Ariana Miyamoto, I found a lot of article about her bad act when she was young. I do not know whether it is true or not, but I think that we should pay attention to rather what she is doing than what she did.

World Health Organization: Processed Meat Caused Cancer

I read the web site which name is The Hulling Post at last English class. I found one article about meats causing cancer. Now, this news also became a big news in Japan. So in this blog post, I would like to write about this problem.





At first, I will write this news’s summery.

According to WHO, meats like bacon, sausage and other cured and processed meats have a possibility of becoming a bowel cancer. The agency also say that meats are directly connected. But fifty gram portion of processed meats eaten daily will increase the risk of becoming a cancer. Fifty gram meats are equal to three slice of cooked bacon.

Adding to cured and processed meats, red meats have includes which are often in weed-killers. These two findings are based on 800 studies. However, meat industry group claim that meats are the part of a balanced diet and these studies should expand to lifestyle.


Then, I would like to write about a comparison of English article and Japanese article.

The article which is written by English mainly reported the danger of eating meats. Moreover it seems that WHO also don’t recommend to eat meats. Therefore, I suppose that readers of this article may feel uneasy. However contrast to English version, Japanese version says that not only the danger of eating meats but also the importance of eating them.

I really surprised this, because I guessed that the contents of articles are the same in any languages.

From this fact, I think that this article which is written by English have only one direction of opinion, so I may be able to say that this article isn’t tell the truth.


Finally, I would like to write my opinion about this article.

I have two opinions.

When I read this article first, I was really surprised, because I like meats such as bacons and often eat more than three slice of this. Of course, I think that it is not good to overreact to this issue. As the article says, rising possibility of becoming a cancer is only happen when you eat meats too many. Therefore, I think that we should not too care about this issue. Rather, keeping a good lifestyle is more important for us to live vividly long.

Second, I think that meats industries should pay attention consumers health. From this article, these industries only advocated the need of meats. However they don’t care the investigation at all, so it seems that they only pursuit their profit. It is not good for their company image.

why do I move and the way how I keep things whole.

I read the poem which title is Keeping Things Whole written by Mark Strand. In that poem there are the keyword like I move to keep things whole. So in this blog post, I would like to write about the reasons why do I move at first and then I also write the way how to keep things whole.

There are a lot of people in this country who kill themselves. I think it is so sad and so stupid. So I would like to write about the reason of why do I move.

I have three reasons for this.

First, I have a dream to realize in the future. My dream is to become the engineer of medical equipment. In this country there are a lot of people who suffer the terrible pain of rehabilitation. In order to relieve those pain, I would like to develop machine for rehabilitation. Therefore, I live and study hard in this university.

Second, lives are very important. I think lives are the most important things for anybody. Because, life is precious present from my parents. Moreover, there are a lot of people who willing to live but die because of some reasons like illness. Therefore, we should live as much as we can do.



Third, I have many things to do in my life. For example, I would like to travel abroad like Europe, North America and so on. I also want to read more books. However those of these thing cannot do for the moment. Therefore, I live and try these things come true.



These three topics are the reason why do I move.









Then, I would like to write about the way how to keep things whole.

This word have a lot of interpretations, but I think that it means that keep harmony to others . So I would like to write the way of it.





I have two ideas.



First, having respect for other people and their opinions. I think that there are a lot of people who cannot respect others in these days. It is very basic idea but I think it is one of the important things to keep good relationship to others. If others don’t listen your opinion, you would feel bad. However if others hear your opinion with their whole heart, you would feel good. I think that to respect other people’s opinion is very easy, but have a good effect.


Second, doing aggressive communication. In my first way, I wrote that respect to others and their opinion are so important. However, I think that advocating our own opinions are also very important. I think that good relationship to other people can make through the daily conversation. If you do not tell your opinion, other people cannot know about you, so you may not make good relationship to others.


These two ideas are my way of how I keep the way whole. It is not difficult itself, but keeping them in your head may help you to keep harmony.

What do I desire?

I had watched the movie which title is What If Money Was no Object? It made me think about happiness. So in this blog post, I would like to write about my opinion to the movie and what do I really want to do.


　　At first, I cannot agree this movie’s message. Because I think that nobody cannot live only with dream or desire. In order to spend our daily life without any inconvenient things, we need money. So if we don’t have any money, we couldn’t even eat food.


　　However, if I were in the situation like money was no object, I would like to do two things.


　　First, I would like to live in country side and be self-sufficient by farming. My grandparents make their living by farming, so I often help them like reaping a field, sowing seeds and weeding. It is very hard, but also can feel a sense of achievement because I can see crops’ growing. Therefore, I think that there is not anything more feel a sense of achievement than farming. Far from noise and bustle of a big city, I may live quietly and freely.


　　Second, I would like to travel all over the world by bicycle. I especially want to go America, because I think that running at big nature like Grand Canyon may feel refreshing, also running at big cities like New York can see one of the biggest cities in the world with my bear eyes. Additionally I heard that New York has a lot of space for riding bike, so I could enjoy riding bike. Moreover I also go to Europe. I think that Europe countries have a lot of beautiful scenery. For example many towns have historic atmosphere, historical structures and beautiful landscape.


　　On this occasion, I write my desires. I found a couple of things from seeing my desires. My desires far from what I am doing, I am studying engineering in this university but it is good for nothing for farming or traveling. Moreover if get a job, I may not have enough time to do so.



　　Considering all of my situation, I have to decide the order of priority what I want to do. Of course I think it is difficult and not realistic to pursue only my desire, but as the movie says that it is stupid to spend my life time for what I don’t like. So at any rate, I make my life plan.

Music In My Life.

　　　　There are a lot of music in the world. They are so close to our everyday lives. I also enjoy music every day and I think that music is very important for our lives. So in this post I would like to write about a role of music in my life and my favorite song.


　　　　First, music is very effective to control my feelings. I think that music have power to change our feelings. If I am depressed, I listen music. So my feeling gets well.

Last year I was in a cram school for university of entrance examination. I studied and studied very hard every day. Studying every day is very trying and I was likely to give up many times. When I was in such situation, I often listen music. Then my feeling gets well and I was motivated to study.

Another example, it was the day of the entrance examination, I was very nervous because of the fear of the test. When I was in such situation, I listen the classic music, then I became relaxed and I could do my best.


　　　　Second, music can become a good subject. I think it is difficult to find a common subject. However I think that there are not any person who do not listen music at all, so I can use music as a common subject like what kind of songs do you like.


　　　　Third, music tell me a lot of foreign language. Once in a while, I listen western songs. Unlike normal English study, I can enjoy learning English word and I can learn new words easily. Moreover, through listening western songs, my listening ability was improved.


　　　　For these reasons, I think that music is very important for me. Moreover, it is so close to me in various ways of my life.

　　　　Finally, I would like to introduce my favorite song.

　　　　My favorite song is Faith which was sang by miwa. This song tell me the hope for the future and cheer me like never give up. Moreover miwa's singing voice is so energetic and clear that I was motivated whenever I hear this song. Even if I were likely to give up something to do, listening this song cheers me. This song was used in a TV commercial. So some of you may know this song, but if you do not know this song, I really recommend you to listen this song. I think that you may like it.

My memory of The Great East Japan Earthquake.

　　　Four years has passed since the great east Japan earthquake, so in this post I would like to write about my memory of the day.



　　　When the earthquake happen, I was ninth grade. I was in the way to my home with my friends. Just before the earthquake happen, the siren screamed. At first, we do not know what it was mean, so we ignored it. Then the big earthquake happen. We were very surprised and all we could do is only gripping a road sigh. The tremor continue, maybe it was little time, but I felt it was very long. Then the tremor was stopped. The road sigh which we grasped while the earthquake bent. At the sight of it, we realized how great earthquake it was. Therefore, we hurried home in order to make sure our families’ safe. Fortunately, all our families were safe. I was relieved very much.

　　　However when I turned on the television, I saw the scene of the tsunami. It was very shocking for me. Many people were taken away by tsunami, it was as if there was hell. Besides the shock of the tsunami, the nuclear power station was broken by tsunami. I felt very scary, because if the nuclear station burst, radiation come out and radiation would affect our health for a long time as Chernobyl. The dangerous situation has continued very long time, so I could not sleep well, because I felt so scary.

　　　My father’s university was also took away by tsunami, he seemed very shocked.


　　　The great east Japan earthquake made us very scared and it was also very terrible event to me. I wanted to forget the terrible day before, but these days, I think that I ought not to forget that day. It was hard for everyone, but I think its memory will make us more careful and damage may decrease in the next time.

If I were the opposite sex.

　　　If I were a woman, I would do six things.


　　　First, I would collect more clothes than now. There are a lot of nice clothes for women in the world and I think most women are more careful about their looks than man, so I may also be careful about my appearance. However if I had few clothes, I could not have good tastes in clothes.

　　　Second, I would go beauty salon. I think it is difficult a bit for men to enter a beauty salon by themselves and I also think women can try more hairstyles than men, so I would go beauty salon and try a lot of hairstyles and find one which goes well with me.

　　　Third, I would sing high tone songs at karaoke. I think men’s voices are too low to sing songs which are sung by women. If I were a woman, I could speak high tone voice. Therefore I can try these songs which I have never sang and add my song repertoire.

　　　Forth, I would take high heels. Men do not take high heels, so I don’t know whether they are comfortable or not. If I become a woman, I would take them, so I can know the answer. Moreover I would become more fashionable.

　　　Fifth, I would get on a women-only vehicle. I think that there is a lot of space in a women-only vehicle, because only women can get on it. If crowded train come, I can get on a women-only vehicle. Therefore I do not feel stress and relax.

　　　Sixth, I would enjoy discount day for ladies. I think that women can receive a lot of discount, so if I were a women, I would enjoy watching movie, eating lunch and shopping with value price.

　　　I wrote about the things which I want to do if I were opposite sex, but I think my original sex is the best for me.

There is nothing bored in the world.

A traffic light which is in countryside is the most bored in the world. He works every day, if it is rainy day, very hot day and snowy day. However no matter how hard he works, few people use him and no one thanks to him. There are not any his friends close to him. Therefore, he only shine green, yellow and red light alternately through the day. If someone come, he or she will go away soon. Therefore all he can do is his shining work. Because of his work which is not change at all, he fell very bored.

Things which make defining feature of Eritrea

In this post, I will write about Eritrea. Do you know where Eritrea is? I think most of you cannot imagine, so I prepared the map.


By the way, I think that Eritrean culture was made by two things, so I will introduce these things.


First is trade and colonization. Eritrea is near to the Red Sea, so its place is very suitable to trade with other country and Eritrea has long been colonized by other country like Italy. Therefore there is a lot of other country’s culture. So let’s look at these cultural things. At first we will look at Asmara area which is in center of Eritrea. Please look at these pictures↓

They are look like western style. Left photo is Geza Banda area which we can see a lot of western style houses and church. Right photo is Maria Copt shrine. We can see the wonderful fusion of western style and Eritrean style. Also we can see these culture mix structures in Massawa which is in south in Eritrea. In that place, we can see architectures like this↓

Left architecture is old Italy bank, it looks very luxurious and magnificent. It is very damaged by the war. However it is fixing and it will become an exclusive hotel, so we can stay at there in near future. The right photo is Hotel Torino which was built in 1930s. This architecture made in the western and Eritrean mixed style. Considering these architectures and areas, Eritrea has mixed culture.



Second is “coffee ceremony”. Do you know what coffee ceremony is? In fact, I don’t know at all, so I look over it. Coffee ceremony is a kind of ceremony likes Sado which is very popular in Japan. Through drinking coffee, people learn something like decency. They use these tools like this ↓

Only women, most case is housewives, can do coffee ceremony. Then, I will introduce how to do coffee ceremony. At first, prepare the law coffee beans, then roast them closely. Until coffee is made, guests eat bread and something like popcorn with good scent. After finished making coffee, you can drink it. However you have to drink three cups of coffee. Therefore, it will take about one and a half hours from start to end, so you have to be very careful if you visit Eritrean homes. I think coffee ceremony is very similar to Sado, so I think that coffee ceremony can make people learn hospitality and decency.



Third is war. Eritrea has long been colonized by Italy first. After Italy was defeated in the Second World War, Eritrea was dominated by England. Then Ethiopia dominated Eritrea. Then the war which seek for independence is broken out. This war had continued about thirty years. the war was very violent like these↓

Left photo is the place called Tank grave. These tanks are used independent war and rejected after the war, so we can see how violent the war is. Now that, Eritrea is independent country, but the country has many problems like autocracy.

　
Eritrea is mixed various cultures, so I think it is very interesting.

My opinion about the movie which I watched English class.

In this write, I will introduce my opinion about the movie which name is Wanderers.

When I saw this movie first time, I couldn’t understand what this movie is mean. However thorough my many times watching, I can understand little by little.

The first situation of this movie is in the earth and start the space travel. I feel very excited because it refers the start and it have infinite possibility.

The second situation is going around planets of the solar system like the Jupiter and the Saturn. This scene is very clear and beautiful, so I can feel as if I were in the space. Then I saw a planet like the Mars and its space elevator. I hope that the day which the space elevator realizes and many people can enjoy space travel easily.

The third situation may be on the Mars. Using the Mars elevator, pilots finally arrive there. They explore the Mars. However they cannot anything but vast nature. I feel very lonely, because there is nothing, but I was also moved by magnificent nature.

The forth situation may be on the new planet, because I have never seen its form. It looks like cylinder. The space elevator through the center of this planet. I do not really know what this planet is, but I think that it is very fantastic. The fifth situation is some people explore the planet. There is not anything. They and I can only see the planet like the Moon. Then the situation change suddenly. Something may be people flying the planet which may be the Earth with flying device. The reason why I think this planet is the Earth is I saw the ocean. The earth is the only planet which have the ocean in the solar system, so I think that place may be the Earth. I think that flying the sky looks very fun and exciting and I want to try it. Then the scene is change suddenly again. The next scene is some people doing like bungee jumping on the other planet. People jump from on the rugged cliff their background may be the Moon. It looks very exciting.

The last situation is sunrise and a person smiling. I think this scene is the best scene, because I can see the eternal possibility and expectation of wonderful future.

I hope that the day like this movie come soon, because it have a lot of possibilities like the space elevator. It is difficult to go to space now. However if the space elevator was built, we would enjoy space travel easily. And also space has a lot of beautiful things like the scene of sunrise, vast natures and romantic planets. This movie’ illustration is really beautiful, so I feel as if I were in the space and enjoy various things. This movie told me the wonderful future image, so I really impressed and I want to go space travel someday.

I can say this movie is one of the best movie to imagine the future situation.

My favorite restaurant

I would like to write about my favorite restaurant.

 I have three recommendable restaurants.

(1)The restaurant is in Ikebukuro which is in Tokyo. Its name is Dateno Gyuutan Honpo where we can eat beef tongues.

I ate beef tongues everywhere and I think this restaurant’s beef tongues is the most delicious I have ever eaten.

 Then I will introduce about this restaurant.

Dateno Gyuutan Honpo is very close to Ikebukuro station.

However I think it is difficult to find this restaurant, because it is in other shop like this picture.↓

 

When I go there for the first time, I could not find this restaurant and walk around 30minutes.

Therefore if you go there, you should research in advance.

The menu is like this ↓

In this menu you can eat not only roast beef tongues, but also soup which is in beef tongue. Moreover you can eat another helping of rice! You can choice miso or salt or mix flavor. I recommend you mix tastes, because you can enjoy both tastes, so you may not be tire. The price is higher than others, but I think its price correspond to its taste. I suppose you can’t eat any other beef tongues if you eat this restaurant’s beef tongues.

(2)The next restaurant is ramen shop which is in Hoya in Tokyo. Its name is Taisyouken.

I think that many people may think ramen shops a little dirty.  However, this ramen shop was remodeled recently, so the interior decorations are very clean.

     Then, I will introduce menu.

     Taisyouken is famous for its volume. Please look at this picture.↓

You can know its volume from this photo. Additionally, the normal size is for 1.5 people. Moreover, big size is for 3 people. If you have confidence your capacity, please try big size. However,   I think it is nearly impossible to eat it all. Then I will talk about the soup.  Its soup is made from fish which is called Niboshi.  If you like Dashi I think you would be like it.

(3)The last restaurant is Shango which is in Gunnma prefecture.

Shango is Italian restaurant. It is very popular among Gunnma people. This restaurant is reported by mass media, so it is so clouded that you may have to wait more than half an hour, but I think it is worth to waiting to eat.

 Shango is a chain store which is only in Gunma prefecture. Its atmosphere is really good, so you can enjoy dishes very calm. Then I will talk about the dishes. The set menu is very reasonable, if you order this, you can eat salad, soup, meat, spaghetti and dessert. Therefore, I think it is very reasonable. The picture like this. ↓

 

Also I recommend you a risotto of squid ink. Look at this picture.↓

 

I think most of you suspect of its taste, because its color is very unique, but its taste is very good.

Additionally, in fact, this menu is not official menu, so you can feel something special.

1.making a new friends a lot
     In this university,a lot of students come from various places .If I make friends with them,I can know their hometown

2.do exercise
     I'm in lack of exercise recently,but I think that it isn't good for my health. Fortunately,this university has a large area and many sports facilities,so I can do exercise like jogging easily.
    
3.travel by myself
     Until now ,I have seen only small world .However I think it's not good for me,so I want to travel somewhere like Hokkaido,Osaka,and Kyoto in order to broaden my horizons.

4.act actively
    I think that students must act voluntary in university.However, up to now I have been passive. In order to enjoy university days, I want to act actively like contact with teachers and participate in events aggressively.  
   
5.improve computer technique
     I can't use computer well. However my dream is to become a engineer which would use it very often, so I  want to use them well.

6.manage a schedule efficiently
     I think that university students have a lot of things to do. If I don't manage schedule, my university days would be failed.In order to enjoy university days, I want to be good at schedule management.

7.keep regular hour
      University is very free,so my life would be unsteady.However I think that it's not good for my health,so I want to keep regular hour and spend healthy life.

8.do housework aggressively
     I live in my grandparents house. They often help me.  I want to help them to do housework like clean the room, making meals and so on in turn.

9.try new things
   There are a lot of things which I have never experienced like playing tennis,travel abroad,and so on.I think trying these things is useful for me to broaden my horizons.For this reason,I would like to try new things.
   
10.work part-time jobs
   I have never worked part-time jobs,but I think working these jobs is useful in the future.Since I can learn importance of money and improve my communication skill.
